Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can help our game reach its artistic goals and help elevate the artistic vision of our world and story. You will be responsible for the majority of 2D animation work for characters, creatures, BG, and UI.

• We are open to animation-artist hybrid but the primary focus will be animations
• We are flexible on the animation direction, but are leaning towards bone animations with a few important parts as key framed animations.

General Deliverables:

• Animation assets
• Art assets production
• Preferred: Familiarity with Unity and its quirks

Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills and receptivity to feedback.
• Strong 2D Animation skills with emphasis on storytelling. Preferably Spine based
• Experience with 2D game sprites and 2D game animations
• Strong abilities in art fundamentals such as form, shapes, and colors
• Prior experience in game art production and pipelines
• Ability to work in our game’s style. Please see  Everglyph Trials on Steam

Preferred Skills:

• Some digital 2D illustration skills for environment, creature, or character art to fill in the gaps for sprite animations
• Some ability to do VFX animations.
• Prior experience shipping commercial games 
• Prior experience working collaboratively with a team
• Prior experience working in an independent and high-production environment
• Familiarity with game engines (Unity) and version control (git)
• Familiarity with Spine2D

Pay: 

$20-35+/hour (USD) based on skills and experience. Please let us know your rates when applying.

Contract:

Remote, contractor role. Full-time or part time. Project-based is also acceptable.
