About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator to join our BIM department in our New York office in Lower Manhattan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the BIM coordination processes for design projects alongside the project team. You will support the model creation, development, and integration throughout the project life-cycle, ensuring that the project’s models are accurate, updated, and comply with the project’s requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or construction and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain accurate 3D models using BIM software (Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks).
• Ensure model accuracy and compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company BIM protocols.
• Conduct clash detection at regular intervals to identify and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other building components.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to address and resolve clashes effectively.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for management and coordination of 3D models for project team.
• Document, track, and communicate project BIM issues, changes, and updates.
• Provide technical support to the project team on BIM software and tools

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related industry
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
• Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Data Center design and/or construction experience preferred

Estimated compensation range: $95,000-115,000 base salary per year
