This position is a senior creative leadership role reporting directly to the Creative Partners VP. This leader is responsible for the creative advancement and stewardship of both Optum and UHC brands. Working in close partnership with brand marketing leadership, they will help inform and shape brand marketing activity via creative strategy, thought leadership and enterprise acumen. They will lead an internal creative team and provide creative guidance to external agencies responsible for delivering strategic creative solutions that drive distinction for our brand, support business priorities, and engage our audiences in meaningful ways.

If you are located in/near MN 101 - Optum Campus, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the internal brand creative team to deliver high quality creative solutions that align with strategic business objectives
  • Translate business strategies, insights, and performance data into creative strategies that drive support business growth and drive distinction for our brands
  • Shape, advance and maintain Optum and UHC brand identity systems including the production of ownable assets for use across the enterprise (brand marks, photography, illustration, iconography, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with marketing partners, senior leadership, and business partners
  • Ensure effective implementation of our brands by team across the enterprise via consultation and subject matter expertise
  • Lead presentation and socialization of brand creative with all stakeholders
  • Synthesize stakeholder input and translate into actionable direction for creative teams to ensure effective resolution
  • Drive creative drive quality and efficiency activity by pursuing and implementing process improvements an tech solutions including AI
  • Able to travel up to 20% domestically

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of creative team leadership experience
  • Functional knowledge of Adobe CC applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.)
  • Proficient of Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Expertise with a broad range of media including motion, digital, experiential, print, etc.
  • Proven portfolio of creative work that demonstrates depth of brand and creative expertise

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
