Position Overview We seek an experienced Django Developer to join our team and build robust, scalable backend solutions. In this role, you'll leverage your professional experience with Django 5 and PostgreSQL to ensure our applications are secure, efficient, and prepared for future growth.
Responsibilities - Participate in the backend modernization and rewrite of our existing web applications into Django 5.x and PostgreSQL.
- Develop secure, scalable backend services and optimized database schemas.
- Integrate third-party APIs and manage asynchronous workflows.
- Implement comprehensive testing and actively participate in code reviews and deployments using CI/CD pipelines. Proactively monitor and optimize backend performance throughout the development and maintenance process.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to streamline our efforts.
Requirements Experience & Qualifications - 3-5 years of professional experience developing Django-based applications.
- Proficiency in Django 5, including ORM, middleware, function-based views, class-based views, and authentication mechanisms.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs (RESTful APIs, webhooks) for real-time data exchange.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, such as SQL Injection prevention, XSS and CSRF protection, and ensuring data encryption.
- Proficiency in asynchronous programming, especially with Celery and Redis for background task processing and native ASGI support (async views, middleware, signal handling).
- Knowledge of Django Rest Framework (DRF).
- Knowledge of Django’s Templating Engine.
- Strong experience with Python package management (PIP) for efficient dependency handling.
- Expertise in database migrations and data seeding using Django’s migration system.

This position offers the flexibility to work hybrid - both remote and onsite. Initial training will take place in the office, and employees are required to come to the office on designated days or on a regularly scheduled day as needed.
