Job Description Academic Credits: Should the intern wish to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be the intern’s responsibility to make arrangements with his or her school and understand the institution’s requirements.
Status Non-exempt - paid; Requires a 40 hour per week time commitment; additional hours may be required; Flexibility to the intern’s availability will be considered.
Reports To The Human Resources Intern reports to the Regional HR Manager and will work in conjunction with the HR Team.
Position Summary This internship will assist with the Human Resources efforts of Miller Pipeline including onboarding, orientation coordinating, interacting with office and field support teams and other HR related projects. The intern will receive industry experience based on the outcomes they hope to achieve from this position.
Responsibilities May Include - Coordinate pre-employment tasks for onboarding candidates
- Coordinate orientation dates and safety training with managers, SQC’s and new hire candidates
- Conduct orientations for new hire candidates
- Process new hire paperwork and onboard new hires into payroll system
- Assist in processing active employee changes and terminations
- Employee Digital File Maintenance
- I-9 Auditing
- Ad hoc HR related tasks and special projects

Skills Needed - Must be a current university student seeking a Business Degree or similar.

- Willingness and ability to contact and work with employees
- Ability to take direction and execute accordingly
Physical Requirements This position requires sitting for extended periods of time while on the computer, phone and might include some travel covered by Miller Pipeline.
