Join Our Team as an Industrial Surface Treatment Specialist!

As we continue to lead the market in spray coatings for industrial rollers across numerous industries, we're searching for a diligent Industrial Surface Treatment Specialist to join our team and work on the first shift.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assemble and operate grit blasting machines to ensure parts are well-prepared for basecoat application, using proper respiratory gear to maintain safety standards.
• Perform inspections on incoming components and manage inventory levels of essential supplies, such as tape and grit, to ensure constant operations.
• Utilize micrometers, tape measures, and other instruments to confirm that parts meet print specifications prior to processing and dispatch.
• Safely handle and transport components using hoists, cranes, and forklifts, making sure they are accurately positioned.
• Apply protective coverings on parts prior to blasting or coating procedures to safeguard surfaces.
• Engage in MIG/Stick and TIG welding as required.
• Keep detailed records of work hours, part conditions, and other job-related details to uphold quality control standards.
• Ensure equipment and workspaces are in top condition by performing regular maintenance tasks.
• Report any equipment failures, faulty materials, or unusual situations to the Production Supervisor right away.
• Work diligently to maintain scrap and rework within acceptable norms, while conforming to safety regulations and quality protocols.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions carefully to deliver products that meet customer requirements.

Travel Requirements

Be ready for frequent travel to our client sites, including paper mills, to perform your duties. These trips may occur weekly and extend up to a week or longer, depending on project demands. The company provides transportation as well as covers all associated travel expenses.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• Mechanically inclined with solid math capabilities and eagerness to develop expertise.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and work instructions.
• Familiarity with measurement tools like micrometers and tape measures is a must.
• Experience operating hoists, cranes, and forklifts safely.
• Experienced in MIG welding techniques.
