Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), responsibilities are related to a project focused on characterizing novel mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease. Characterization will focus mainly on tissue processing for immunohistochemical and biochemical analyses. Responsibilities will include tissue collection, processing (sectioning, pulverizing), performing immunohistochemical stains, Western blots, conducting biochemical analysis equivalent to ELISA, learning to analyze and present spatial transcriptomics data as well as helping with microscopy of tissue and subsequent analysis.
Must be proficient in handling supplies, equipment, and inventory, and have the ability to maintain and organize meticulous data records related to experiments. A strong aptitude for detailed solution preparation is essential, alongside exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Basic to advanced computer literacy skills are
desirable attributes that will support the lab's operational needs.
This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a research environment.
