We are a leading real estate and financial services firm seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join our Midwest Litigation group. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of interesting cases, including residential and commercial foreclosures, title disputes, and more, all within a positive and collaborative team environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage Contested Matters: Handle a diverse caseload of contested matters for residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
Represent Clients in Court: Appear in court and argue motions related to foreclosure, title disputes, HOA/COA disputes, and other matters.
Develop Case Strategies: Strategize on the best outcomes for your cases, utilizing your legal expertise.
Communicate with Clients: Provide regular updates and ensure clear communication throughout the case process.
Draft Legal Documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery with precision and accuracy.
Conduct Settlement Negotiations: Negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
What We're Looking For:
A Juris Doctorate degree and active licenses in both Illinois and Ohio, in good standing with both state bars.
1-3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, and civil litigation.
Strong knowledge of Ohio mortgage foreclosure processes.
Familiarity with Illinois and Ohio Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
A high level of professionalism and client service.
