Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis in Los Angeles, CA . This role is responsible for providing critical post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety, stability, and comfort. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, the ability to respond to emergencies, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia , ensuring stable vital signs
• Administer medications, pain management, and oxygen therapy as needed
• Identify and respond to emergency situations, including respiratory distress or adverse reactions
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the healthcare team to ensure safe patient recovery
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies

• Active RN License in California
• BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
• PALS Certification (Required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent PACU or critical care experience (Preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, rapid assessment, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
