Job Title: Patient Registrar (Chinese/Mandarin)
Location: Brooklyn, NY, 11215
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)
Contract Duration: 3+ Months
Pay Rate: $22/Hour

We are seeking a Patient Registrar for a contract position at a well-established medical facility in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing front-end administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities include patient registration, insurance verification, medical records management, and appointment scheduling.

• Register and check in patients while verifying demographic and insurance information.
• Accurately input patient data, ensuring a minimum typing speed of 4,500 keystrokes per hour.
• Handle high-volume phone calls with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments in coordination with medical staff.
• Process insurance verifications and authorizations, ensuring compliance with billing requirements.
• Maintain familiarity with ICD-9, CPT-4 coding , and health insurance policies.
• Assist in medical records management and ensure HIPAA compliance .

• Bilingual in Chinese/Mandarin is required.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a medical office setting.
• Strong data entry, keyboarding, and telephone communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a high-volume environment.

• Some college coursework.
• Experience with medical terminology and insurance benefits/requirements.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding .
