At Amazon, we are building a world class last mile operation with Amazon Flex as a cornerstone of this strategy. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors, called delivery partners, to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, delivery partners are their own boss, build their own schedule, and choose from different types of delivery opportunities (e.g. Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and Amazon Logistics). Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in sync with our advanced systems and processes, allowing delivery partners to secure delivery offers, track their delivery progress, and more.
Amazon Flex is seeking a Pricing Program Manager to lead our pricing initiatives. In this role, you will drive the mechanisms to update Amazon Flex’s Pricing Models world-wide. You will generate insights and partner with cross-functional teams to build automated pricing tools to scale our pricing models across different business types. You will be obsessed with the delivery partner experience, ensuring that we are developing the right pricing strategy and tools to deliver on business needs. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders across multiple functions and locations. You will work with Pricing Product and Tech, Economist teams, Operations, BI, Legal, and Finance teams. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of achieving results in program management, along with strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Key job responsibilities
- Build, implement, and maintain pricing strategies for new and existing businesses.
- Adjust and maintain pricing levers to optimize the Flex business.
- Work cross-functionally and build a strong partnership to drive pricing strategy alignment and build tools to automate pricing decisions.
- Develop and analyze pricing dashboards to identify areas of opportunity and address pre-defined as well as ad-hoc business questions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement or automation in existing strategies or processes and drive development with technical and business partners.
- Craft compelling recommendation docs, launch announcements, senior leadership updates and newsletters.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Build and own mechanisms for business reporting, auditing, and reviews.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
