Job Title: RN - Quality Coordinator
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Hybrid
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Guaranteed hours: 40 weekly
Contract: 13 weeks
About the Role:
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Quality Coordinator to join their team in a hybrid/remote position. This role plays a key part in supporting quality improvement and regulatory compliance activities, analyzing clinical data, and driving performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
Quality Improvement: Review occurrence reports and related medical records to identify opportunities for improvement. Conduct root cause analysis for incidents requiring review.
Data Analysis: Aggregate and analyze quality metric data to support medical directors and department chairs.
Outpatient Case Reviews: Conduct reviews for hospitalizations related to re-admissions and sentinel diagnoses, focusing on care improvement opportunities.
Committee Participation: Serve on Quality Improvement Committees and support clinical pay-for-performance programs like HEDIS, ACO, and others.
Regulatory Compliance: Perform medical record reviews to support health plan and accreditation requirements.
Root Cause Analysis & Presentations: Perform chart abstraction, root cause analysis, and present findings to physician panels for further action.
Trend Analysis: Identify trends across patient populations to improve care processes.
Reporting & Dashboards: Create and present clinical quality dashboards, action reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
Performance Improvement: Engage in initiatives focused on Population Health, Patient Engagement, and overall quality improvements.
Accreditation Support: Assist with preparing for and responding to accreditation and regulatory agencies or surveys.
Other Duties: Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Required:
Current California RN License
At least 2 years of statistical/data analytic experience
Experience in quality improvement or process improvement
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred:
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
