Job Description

TIG WELDERS NEEDED - AEROSPACE
2nd and 3rd shift shift opportunity with an 8% differential M-F 2:30pm-11pm for 2nd shift and 10% differential for 3rd shift, Fr, Sa, Su 4:45am-5:15pm plus overtime for an experienced Tig Welder.
Essential Duties:

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction
Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
Process inspection, certification, and documentation
Welding equipment maintenance
Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
Ability to read blueprints and instructions
Basic Computer skills
Proficiency in welding techniques
Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Capable of reading wiring schematic

Education and Training:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of3 -5years TIG welding experience with close tolerance
Aerospace experience a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 35 lbs.
Ability to work standing for periods of time
Eyesight correctable to 20/30 required

Special Requirements:

Will be required to take and pass a color blindness test for visual inspections
Able to wear cleanroom attire
