Job Description

VetsEZ is seeking a VistA MUMPS Expert to support a Department of Veterans Affairs project. The role focuses on modernizing VistA applications through decoupling strategies and providing VistA expertise to support core CI/CD pipeline capabilities.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategies to decouple and modernize VistA applications.
  • Enable VistA data services in line with Health Technology Office guidelines.
  • Support the systems team with VistA expertise and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with the Service Enablement team to design and build tools and platforms with the Health Service Mesh.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT and/or Federal Government contracting.
  • In-depth knowledge of MUMPS, VistA, Kernel, Fileman RPC Broker, and VA domains.
  • Experience with VistA options, keys, tokens, OAuth Scopes, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace).
  • Experience with FileMan, Cloud Native, Kafka, Podman, Docker, and embedded programming (Python, Object Script).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
  • Familiarity with VA environment is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
