Building Supply Yard Worker

New Holland, PA

• Enjoy an active role within the construction supply industry that offers a set daytime schedule, on-the-job training for entry-level employees, and a friendly work environment
• Full-time position with overtime available during the busy season (Saturday morning rotation in the summer)
• On-the-job training provided for entry-level candidates with a drive to learn
• Pull building supply orders for construction contractors
• Specialize in decking, railing, fencing & siding materials
• Operate standup Forklift to unload trucks, pull orders, and load trucks
• Use a CNC Router to punch vinyl material for the assembly of posts and rails
• Put incoming orders into stock
• Maintain an organized warehouse
• Enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor work – you aren't stuck in a warehouse all day!

Homestead Outdoor Products, a fencing, railing, siding, and decking materials supplier, is looking for a Full-Time Yard Worker to receive and ship orders for poly & wood lumber, fencing, decking, railing, etc. Our Yard Worker is critical in building solid relationships with our repeat customers by ensuring we accurately pull all the materials our contractors need for their projects. We are a lighthearted team and enjoy our work.

Our Yard Worker:

• Experienced: Experience working in a lumber yard, building supply yard, construction, or similar role is preferred. However, we are willing to provide on-the-job training for entry-level candidates. Previous forklift operation experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly: Willing to provide friendly service to our customers when pulling their orders.
• Conscientious: Safely operates equipment and maintains a clean and organized supply yard.
• Sense of Humor: We work hard, but we also have fun and like to laugh.
• Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Drive to do a great job. Eager to help a teammate for the good of all. Treats teammates & customers with care and respect.
• Detailed: Able to accurately pull and process orders.
• Active: Able to lift up to 90 lbs., operate a forklift, bend, kneel, and work in a role that will have you on the go most of the day!

What We Offer Our Yard Worker:

• $19 - $22/hour – Depending on Experience
• Overtime Available
