Notes:
- Trademe Features, Super Features etc. – In our experience, these options do not deliver any meaningful additional benefit. Most buyers tend to look across all listings when they first begin their search and then focus mainly on the latest listings as new properties come to market. Featured listings do not appear at the top when buyers are sorting by latest listings. For that reason, we prefer to invest in marketing options that are more likely to produce a genuine result, rather than simply increase visibility for appearance’s sake;
- Social Media – We run paid, targeted Facebook campaigns for the properties we list and also actively promote open homes on Facebook. In addition, we regularly promote our listings across more than 25 Facebook groups in the areas we have identified as being home to many of the potential buyers for property in our market;
- Print Media – Outlook and Property Press – In our experience, print media has not delivered a measurable increase in buyer enquiry for properties in the areas we operate in. As a result, we do not generally use publications such as Outlook and Property Press as part of our standard marketing campaigns;
- Foreign Language Websites – Juwai and Hougarden – We focus our marketing spend on the channels most likely to reach active buyers for properties in our market. In our experience, these sites have not delivered enough relevant enquiry to justify the cost, so we do not generally use them.
